Welcome back! The team from TAG would like to welcome you back and we hope you had a well-deserved break with your family and friends.

As we launch into 2021, we want to give you a gentle reminder that submissions to the CampusLink Awards are coming to a close on Friday 5th February, which is just over three weeks from now. We all know that the lead-up to Orientation is a wild ride, so be sure to schedule some time over the next couple of weeks to put your submissions together for your 2020 initiatives.

2020 was a year that stretched and challenged us all, but it also saw some of our greatest work as we adapted and dove headfirst into a type of engagement that none of us had experienced before. The 2021 Awards are your chance to proudly show the Student Services sector what your team and your Organisation is made of.

Take a look at some of the Award Categories currently open for submissions below, and if you are looking for some inspiration, check out the 2020 Award recipients.

Best Orientation Event – This award recognises innovation, flexibility, and adaptability in the orientation space during 2020 with events held on or off-campus.

Last year, the award went to ‘The D’oh Show’ – a live ‘orientation’ theatre show by Monash University Student Theatre and Monash Student Association (MSA).

Best Staff Support or Training Initiative – This award recognises member organisations who have provided valuable staff support programs and/or training opportunities that support the challenges of 2020 and keep workspaces connected, healthy, functioning and productive.

Last year’s award went to the team at Bendigo Student Association of La Trobe University for their ‘High-Performance Team Relationships’ program

Most Successful Digital Initiative – This award recognises any successful digital initiative that boasts strong student engagement and support, creativity, adaptability, user functionality, and keeping campus communities connected.

Last year’s winner was Deakin University Student Association (DUSA) for their ’12 Days of Christmas Give-Aways’ initiative which kept students engaged with DUSA services during a typically quiet time on their campus.

The Awards are a celebration of excellence and success in the Australasian tertiary student experience sector. They are the pinnacle opportunity to recognise TAG members; their students, sponsors, and suppliers for outstanding leadership, student engagement, marketing, staff development and individual achievements within the sector!

In 2021 we will be recognising up to seventeen awards with a particular emphasis on adaptivity and innovation in what has been an exceptionally challenging year for the Student Services sector.

Please ensure that you head to the full list of awards to identify any Awards categories which are relevant to you. If you have any questions, take a look at our Frequently Asked Questions page, and don’t hesitate to follow the prompts to contact us, if your question is not answered.
